McLELLAN BAGS HAT-TRICK AS WELDERS HIT FIVE
Michael McLellan bagged a hat-trick as HW Welders defeated Ballinamallard United at the Blanchflower Stadium.
The Mallards moved in front after ten minutes trough Ryan Morrow but McLellan knocked home his first of the afternoon soon after to level.
The visitors regained the lead just before the break courtesy of BJ Banda's finish before McLellan struck again nine minutes into the second half with a header at the back post.
David Graham edged the Welders into the lead for the first time a couple of minutes after that with a tap into an empty net following a miscommunication in the visiting defence.
However back came the Mallards when Banda scored his second to make it 3-3 on 71 minutes although parity was only briefly restored when Alan McMurtry converted from the spot to tip the balance back in favour of the Mallards.
But McLellan made sure with a couple of minutes remaining when, on the break, he fired his hat-trick goal into the roof of the net.
