WELDERS TOO STRONG FOR STUDENTS
HW Welders claimed all three points from their trip across the city to face Queen's University at The Dub.
The Welders moved in front after 13 minutes. A corner from the left was met at the back post by Charlie Dornan who duly directed a header past Daniel Devine.
The Students levelled midway through the first half after a ball across the box fell at the feet of Marc McKenna who made no mistake in blasting the finish into the net.
That was how it stayed until just over a quarter-of-an-hour remained on the clock when Michael McLellan bagged what proved to be the winner at the near post after Dornan touched on a Daniel McMurray passed into the area.
