HONOURS EVEN AS WELDERS BEGIN LIFE IN NEW SURROUNDINGS
HW Welders marked the opening of their new Blanchflower Stadium ground with a 1-1 draw against Knockbreda.
The visitors moved in front after just six minutes through Anto Burns who was on hand to knock the ball home at the near post after meeting a cross from the left.
However, the Welders levelled midway through the first half courtesy of Alan McMurtry's drive into the roof of the net following a bit of a scramble inside the box.
Both sides struck the woodwork in the second half but neither could find a way through to add to the scoresheet.
