MALLARDS BRING NEWRY'S RUN TO AN END
Newry City's winning start to the season came to an abrupt halt with a three-goal reversal at home to Ballinamallard United.
Darren Mullen's side had clocked up six wins from their opening six outings but came up against a Mallards side that put their mixed start to the campaign behind them.
Joshua McIlwaine opened the scoring just after the half-hour mark before, five minutes into the second half, Niall Grace made it 2-0 with a bullet header.
The visitors soaked up the pressure as the home side looked to get back into the game, and effectively put the matter to bed with ten minutes remaining when BJ Banda completed the scoring.
