EARLY LEAD SETS BALLYCLARE UP TO CLAIM POINTS
Ballyclare Comrades moved to the top of the Lough 41 Championship following a 3-1 defeat of Institute at the Brandywell.
The Comrades needed just a few minutes to open the scoring when a Liam McKenna corner took a deflection past keeper Leannan McCann.
It was 2-0 midway through the first half when Adam Gray bagged his second goal in as many games with a finish into the top corner when Ciaran Heggarty and Curtis Woods combined down the right for the latter to send the ball over.
Then, eight minutes before the break, Joe Tully added a third from the rebound after McCann had saved his initial penalty.
'Stute did grab a consolation, albeit a late one, in the closing minutes when Alex Pomeroy sent Jack Ferguson the wrong way from the spot.
