GLACKIN BRACE BAGS QUEEN'S FIRST WIN
Brendan Glackin's double secured Queens University's first win of the Lough 41 Championship campaign away to Dundela.
The visitors opened the scoring after 11 minutes when Duns' goalkeeper Marc Matthews failed to hold a long range effort - allowing Glackin to nip and tap home from close range.
Dundela came to life and forced a number of chances in the first half. On 30 minutes Guilleme Keke seen a shot turned away for a corner and then captain Kyle Owens went close with a header 10 minutes later.
Dundela's best chance came in the dying embers of the first period when David McMaster flashed a half volley wide from the edge of the box.
Ten minutes after the break the Students doubled their advantage - Glackin sweeping home a fine cross from Angus Youngson.
Dundela pulled a goal back on 63 minutes when substitute Michael Smith whipped a dangerous cross in which Owain Beggs headed goalbound.
The home team's rally never materialised and Queens and in particular Glackin could have added their goal tallies with a handful of wasted late chances.
