FIVE STAR START FOR CANNING
Dergview boss Tommy Canning celebrated his first game back in charge of the club with a five goal defeat of Institute at Darragh Park.
Summer signing Benny Igiehon opened the scoring as early as the fifth minute - the first goal of the new Lough 41 Championship season - with a superb left foot finish past 'Stute keeper Joe McConnellogue.
Igiehon struck again on 19 minutes to turn home Garth Falconer's inswinging corner before, three minutes after that, Matthew Kirk added a third with a curling finish.
Jamie Browne added to Dergview's tally on 34 minutes with a back post finish from Falconer's left-sided cross before the same player completed the scoring just after the hour from close range.
