MALLARDS BACK IN SECOND SPOT
Ballinamallard United came from behind to defeat HW Welders at Seaview and move back into second spot in the Bluefin Sport Championship.
The Mallards got off to a bright start with Mark Hannon hitting the crossbar with a terrific effort with just over a quarter-of-an-hour on the clock.
Other chances followed as the first half progressed but it fell to the Welders to seize the advantage three minutes from the break through Adam Wright who nodded home at the back post after connecting with a cross delivered from the right flank.
Ryan Mayse had the ball in the net for United early in the second but this was ruled out offside before, just after the hour, Ryan Campbell did level for Harry McConkey's side when he turned to sweep home a throw-in at the right post.
Then, ten minutes after that, Christopher Kelly bagged what proved to be the winner following good work by substitute Joshua McIlwaine.
