LATE PENALTY BOOSTS DERGVIEW SURVIVAL HOPES
Dergview picked up a crucial three points in the Bluefin Sport Championship relegation battle with victory over Queen's University at Darragh Park.
Brendan Glackin opened the scoring for Queen's after nine minutes but, on the stroke of half-time, Dale Maxwell levelled for Dergview with a back post header from a Paul Smith corner.
The Students regained the advantage ten minutes after the break through Jonah Mitchell although Dergview did equalise for a second time with a quarter-of-an-hour remaining when Adam Buchanan sent a deflected effort past Conan Doherty.
Dergview's winner came with six minutes remaining when Smith kept his nerve to step up to convert from the spot.
