SMITH DOUBLE BAGS BIG WIN FOR 'BREDA
Knockbreda recorded a huge victory over fellow strugglers PSNI at Breda Park to close the gap at the foot of the table to just one point between the bottom three sides.
'Breda needed just five minutes to open the scoring when Fra Rice headed home into the empty net after the ball was chipped over from the right side of the area.
But the PSNI recovered to move in front before the half-hour mark. Aaron Cochrane levelled on ten minutes at the far post after a corner was delivered from the left before, on 28 minutes, Tony Tumelty made it 2-1 with a close range header after a long cross was whipped into the box.
However, the tide turned back in favour of Knockbreda when Kian Storey and Jonathan Smith scored before the break to re-establish their advantage going into the second half.
And Smith doubled his tally on 54 minutes from the spot to ensure 'Breda collected their first home win of the campaign.
