HUGHES BAGS HAT-TRICK AT THE DUB
Matthew Hughes grabbed a hat-trick as Queen's University swept to victory over Dundela at The Dub.
The game got off to a brisk start with Karl Devine, David Scullion and Jay Magee all coming close for the Duns early on while the Students hit the post soon after.
But it fell to Hughes to break the deadlock for the Students with just over a quarter-of-an-hour on the clock, a lead they held at the break despite Tiarnan McNicholl blazing over from close range later in the first half.
However, Hughes doubled the lead for Queen's on 77 minutes after racing through from the halfway line before putting the issue beyond doubt with his third of the afternoon just a couple of minutes after that.
