ALL SQUARE AT DIXON PARK
Loughgall slipped back into third spot following this draw away to Ballyclare Comrades at Dixon Park.
The Villagers needed just five minutes to open the scoring when Ross Hunter headed home from six yards after Peter Campbell had crossed from the left.
Ballyclare responded positively, striking the woodwork through Ciaran Dobbin before Gary Donnelly carved out the equaliser on 24 minutes with a close range finish after meeting a free-kick floated into the box.
The Comrades came close to seizing the advantage just before the break after a great through ball from Samuel McIlveen teed Tom Mathieson up to drill an effort from just inside the area towards goal but keeper Berraat Turker did well to tip the ball onto the bar.
Indeed, as the game moved into the second half, Ballyclare continued to enjoy the better chances with Mathieson and then Andy Gray threatening.
But Loughgall might have regained the lead when Campbell found Hunter again inside the box only for the ball to be scooped over while, in stoppage time, Campbell was denied by a great stop from Ben McCauley.
