PORTS SWEEP PAST 'BREDA
Portadown's lead at the top of the table stretched to seven points thanks to a four-goal victory over bottom side Knockbreda at Shamrock Park.
Adam Salley opened the scoring after a quarter-of-an-hour after getting past a defender to drill a low shot beyond keeper Daniel Oates.
The Ports doubled their advantage four minutes later through Lee Bonis after he showed great pace to race onto a Christopher Crane to get past Oates and touch the ball home from an acute angle.
After striking the woodwork before the break Portadown added to their lead three minutes into the second half with Salley's second of the game after Bonis had delivered a ball over the top.
The scoring was completed six minutes from time when unfortunate Knockbreda defender Carl McConville turned the ball into his own net whilst attempting to clear Salley's cross under pressure from Bonis.
