HAT-TRICK FOR FERGUSON AT TILLYSBURN
Matthew Ferguson bagged a hat-trick as HW Welders defeated PSNI at Tillysburn Park.
The NIFWA Championship Player of the Month kept up his excellent recent form with the opening goal on 39 minutes, touching home at the left post after Lukasz Gwiazda had broken clear to cross from the right side of the area.
Number two arrived almost on the hour, a superb hooked half volley from the right side across the face of goal and in at the far post.
Curtis Brown pulled one back for the visitors on 68 minutes when he got his head to a corner from the left to nod home at the right.
But, just two minutes later, Ferguson completed his hat-trick sending Dylan Stewart the wrong way from the spot after Ross Harland had bundled over Scott Davidson inside the area.
