QUEEN'S HIT FOUR PAST PSNI AT THE DUB
Queen's University ended the year with a comprehensive four-goal victory over tenants PSNI at The Dub.
In a game in which they were techincally the away side, the Students moved in front on 36 minutes through Ciaran O'Hare. James Turk was dispossessed by Jonah Mitchell with the ball then finding Lorcan McIlroy who took it forward into the area for O'Hare to knock home from six yards.
The PSNI were reduced to ten men soon after when Nathan O'Neill was dismissed for serious foul play - and it got worse on the stroke of half-time when Adam Robinson fired home from the edge of the area after a corner had only been partially cleared.
Mitchell then put the game beyond doubt five minutes into the second half with a right-foot effort after Joshua Corry had floated the ball over.
Substitute Ben Mulgrew completed the scoring with just under a quarter-of-an-hour remaining in off the left post after Ronan Young had done well to bring the ball forward before wrong footing the defence with a cheeky backheel.
