ARDS HIT EIGHT TO CRUSH KNOCKBREDA
Ards swept to an impressive eight goal Boxing Day victory over bottom of the table Knockbreda at Breda Park.
It took John Bailie's side four minutes to open the scoring when Kym Nelson knocked Eamon McAllister's ball past Jack Hazard.
Despite how it ended it took Ards another half-an-hour to find the net again when Craig McMillen fired into the bottom corner not long after he had struck an upright.
The floodgates really opened after the break. Eamon McAllister finished from close range on 48 minutes before Michael McLellan added a fourth into the bottom right just before the hour.
David McAllister made it 5-0 on 66 minutes with a left foot strike before doubling his tally on 79 from inside the six yard box.
Nelson, with an effort into the right corner, grabbed his second of the afternoon a couple of minutes after that before David McAllister secured his hat-trick in the closing moments with a superb free-kick into the opposite corner of the net.
