BONIS BAGS TWO AS PORTS HIT FIVE PAST PSNI
Portadown stormed to a five-goal win over the PSNI to maintain their three-point lead at the top of the table.
Chances were relatively scarce during the first half although the Ports did go in at the break on top when Lee Bonis nodded past keeper Oliver Fleetham after meeting Ryan Carmichael's ball into the area.
Then, six minutes into the second half, Chris Lavery made it 2-0 in similar circumstances with a back post header after George Tipton had floated over a corner.
Adam Salley bagged a third just short of the hour when he walked the ball into the empty net after Fleetham parried his initial attempt before, five minutes after that, Bonis doubled his tally with a cool finish after Lavery had squared the ball into his path.
Northern Ireland youth international Callum Ferris then completed the scoring with five minutes to go at the near post from Carmichael's cross.
