REVENGE FOR THE WELDERS AT TILLYSBURN
HW Welders gained revenge on Ballyclare Comrades for a heavy defeat earlier this season with a three-goal victory at Tillysburn Park.
Ballyclare had hit eight goals without reply past the Welders back in August but there was destined to be no repeat when, six minutes from the break, Matthew Ferguson opened the scoring when he connected with a cross from the left to power a bullet header past Ben McCauley.
Gary Smyth's side made it 2-0 during the opening exchanges of the second half when Ross Arthurs rose highest to meet a cross, delivered from the right this time.
Then, just before the hour, Ferguson completed the scoring with his second of the afternoon with a clinical finish from just inside the area.
