BALLYCLARE HIT PSNI FOR SIX
Ballyclare Comrades hit PSNI for six at The Dub to record their first win in three outings.
Joe Tully opened the scoring for the visitors on 20 minutes with a header from five yards after Jake McNeill crossed from the left.
Tully doubled his tally on the half-hour with a looping effort over keeper Oliver Fleetham from the edge of the box from Adam Gray's low delivery.
Nathan O'Neill pulled one back for the PSNI just before the break with a hooked finish past Ben McCauley after the Comrades defence failed to deal with a ball into the area.
However, two goals in as many minutes around the hour put Ballyclare firmly in control of the game.
Just after Ciaran Dobbin had struck the crossbar with a chipped effort Gary Donnelly did make it 3-1 when he applied the finish to a ball into the box before, two minutes after that, Gray got on the scoresheet with a clinical effort past Fleetham after being teed up by Tully.
Substitute Owen Getty reduced the deficit with just under a quarter-of-an-hour remaining after pouncing on an Adam McCart backpass to beat McCauley one-on-one.
McNeill restored Ballyclare's three-goal advantage on 84 minutes with a superbly struck effort beyond Fleetham's reach from the edge of the centre circle.
Then, with three minutes left, Samuel McIlveen completed the scoring from the spot after Thomas Robinson had been brought down by Sean Green.
