FERRIS SPOT-KICK GIVES VILLAGERS THE EDGE OVER TEN-MAN NEWRY
Loughgall defeated Newry City for the second time in the league this season thanks to an early penalty at Lakeview Park.
Nathaniel Ferris, who bagged a hat-trick in that first game back in August, stepped up to convert past Andy Coleman on 14 minutes for his 17th goal of the season across all competitions.
To make matters worse for Newry they were forced to play the remainder of the game with ten men following Darren King's dismissal for his actions in the awarding of the penalty.
Despite a spirited effort Darren Mullen's side failed to find the equaliser, slipping to a third defeat in their last four outings while the Villagers remain very much in the hunt at the upper end of the table.
