WELDERS DO DOUBLE OVER NEWRY
Goals from Ross Arthurs and Matthew Ferguson helped HW Welders to a Friday night victory over Newry City at The Showgrounds.
Arthurs edged the visitors in front with around a quarter-of-an-hour on the clock after connecting with a well delivered cross from Dylan Davidson.
Ferguson might have doubled the Welders' lead early in the second half but he couldn't convert a great chance from close range, and it proved to be a costly miss when Kevin McArdle levelled for Newry around ten minutes later.
However, right at the end, another Davidson cross was dropped by Newry keeper Andy Coleman and Ferguson pounced to tuck away the loose ball to secure the points for the Welders and a second win of the season over Darren Mullen's side.
