ARDS HIT THREE TO MOVE INTO FIFTH SPOT
Ards collected a comfortable three points with victory over the PSNI at the Bangor Fuels Arena.
Ben Cushnie opened the scoring for Ards as early as the sixth minute with a simple finish from the edge of the six yard box into an unguarded net.
Michael McLellan doubled Ards' lead eight minutes before half-time when he held off the attentions of a defender to get his head to a cross delivered from the right.
Craig Harris then came within a whisker of adding a third with a superb effort from 30 yards which whistled just over the bar.
However, Ards did get their third goal during the opening moments of the second half when Scott McMillan nodded past keeper Daniele di Giorgio from a corner.
