HONOURS EVEN AT DIXON PARK
Ards and Ballyclare Comrades remain four points apart following this draw at Dixon Park.
Ballyclare opened the scoring on 13 minutes after Ciaran Dobbin ran onto a ball delivered to the edge of the area before playing it across for Gary Donnelly to send a left-foot finish beyond Brian Neeson.
Donnelly might have added a second a few minutes after that but could only fire into the side netting after creating space for himself inside the area.
Ards got back on level terms just after the half-hour mark through Michael McLellan's who sent Ben McCauley the wrong way from the spot for his sixth goal of the season.
After the break Joe Tully tested Neeson with a free-kick from outside the area, but the Ards keeper dealt with the threat at his near post.
For Ards, Ben Cushnie got on the end of a ball over the top but pulled his effort across the face of goal while another Ards chance not long after that was touched over the bar from close range.
Both sides had chances late in the game, with Tully coming close at one end while Ballyclare keeper McCauley turned the ball over at the other.
