MALLARDS UP TO THIRD AFTER QUEEN'S WIN
A goal in each half ensured Ballinamallard United defeated Queen's University at Ferney Park to move into third spot in the table.
The Mallards moved in front as early as the ninth minute when Aaron Arkinson knocked the ball forward down the right for Ryan Campbell to create space for himself inside the area to knock a finish past keeper Conor Lally.
That was how it stayed until six minutes from time although both sides did have their chances with Ryan O'Reilly seeing a looper header well saved by Lally while, for the visitors, Ronan Young flashed an effort just past the post.
However, John Edgar made sure of the points for Harry McConkey's side with a curling effort into the far corner after the ball fell loose from a Nathan Cashel shot that Lally had initially kept out.
