COMRADES HIT FOUR AGAINST KNOCKBREDA
Paul Harbinson secured his first win as Ballyclare Comrades manager with a convincing four goal display against bottom side Knockbreda.
The Comrades took the lead after just three minutes as the ball broke to Ciaran Dobbin from a corner and he managed to curl the ball into the top corner from the penalty spot.
It took until two minutes into the second half before the home side added to the scoring – as Joe Tully nabbed his sixth league goal of the campaign when he turned on a sixpence on the edge of the box before firing into the bottom corner.
Two became three on 49 minutes, as good football between Joe Tully, Jake McNeill and Ciaran Dobbin led to a dangerous ball into the Knockbreda penalty area as Adam Gray put his header back across the keeper into the far corner.
The fourth and final goal of the afternoon fell to Jake McNeill on 57 minutes, as he took a touch before firing into the bottom corner giving the goalkeeper no chance.
The convincing win moves the East Antrim side into eighth place, whilst Knockbreda are still rooted to the bottom of the Championship table.
