PSNI MAKE IT FOUR LEAGUE WINS IN A ROW
Goals from Nathan O'Neill, Sean Green and Mark Anderson helped the PSNI defeat Knockbreda at The Dub.
The PSNI seized the early advantage with two goals in quick succession with less than a quarter-of-an-hour on the clock.
On ten minutes Anderson delivered a free-kick from distance on the right towards the far post for O'Neill to get down low to direct past Conan Russell.
Then, just three minutes after that, a flowing team down the left ended with Green nodding home at the near post.
'Breda pressed hard to get back into the game, coming close on several occasions, before grabbing a goal in first half stoppage time when Lee McGreevy delivered the ball from the left side of the area for Alex Pomeroy to send a diving header past Daniele di Giorgio.
The visitors levelled just after the hour through Brendan Bennett who did well to connect with a flicked header from a throw-in to fire home from close range.
But, just two minutes later, Anderson bagged what proved to be the winner with a superbly struck 30-yard free-kick which sailed unhindered into the top right corner.
At the other end di Giorgio did well to deny a Francis Rice free-kick and then showed quick reactions to keep out Darius Roohi's follow-up while, a little later, Bennett went on a run through the defence only to fire just over.
