DERGVIEW RETURN TO WINNING WAYS
Dergview picked up their first win in six outings with victory over Ards at Darragh Park.
Caoimhin McConnell opened the scoring for the visitors on 18 minutes when he did well to control a David McAllister cross to fire past Alan Buchanan.
But Dergview levelled just before the half-hour mark through player-manager Ivan Sproule after he rounded off a good team move which involved Andy Sproule, Garth Falconer and Matthew Callaghan in the build-up.
Then, in first half stoppage time, Callaghan sent a hooked volley beyond Brian Neeson to edge Dergview into the lead.
And the home side might have extended their advantage early in the second half but Paul Smith was unable to capitalise on a great opening.
Later in the half, Andy Sproule also failed to make the most of an opportunity presented to him after getting past his marker ... but he redeemed himself deep into stoppage time to knock a third past Neeson and secure Dergview's second win of the campaign.
