DUKE BAGS HAT-TRICK AS PORTS STORM TO VICTORY
Aaron Duke grabbed a hat-trick as Portadown crushed Ballyclare Comrades by five goals without reply at Shamrock Park.
Duke kicked the scoring off on 20 minutes with a close range finish after Chris Lavery delivered the ball into his path after combining with Christopher Crane on the left.
Lavery got on the scoresheet himself just four minutes later with a strong finish into the roof of the net from just outside the six-yard box following Ryan Carmichael's cross into the area.
Duke might have added a third soon after only to strike the base of an upright but he did double his tally eight minutes into the second half with a back post header after Lavery whipped in a free-kick awarded for a foul on Carmichael.
Number four arrived through Paul Finnegan's glancing header with just over a quarter-of-an-hour remaining after Stephen Teggart had delivered a perfectly weighted cross to the near post.
Duke claimed the match ball just four minutes after that with a thumping 25-yard free-kick into the top corner following a challenge on Brendan Glackin.
