Tobermore's first goal came late in the first half and was the result of a defensive error inside the box which allowed Stephen Lamont to tap in.

Their second goal came soon after through another defensive mistake, this time from Stephen Curley, who failed to clear the ball on the edge of the box allowing Ryan Doherty to hit a half volley into the right side of the net out of the reach of the diving Jonah Nicholl.

And United sealed victory in the first few minutes of the second half as Neil Lamont beat the offside trap to charge down the right to get his shot off, which was saved by Nicholl. However, he was able to follow up on the rebound and put the game to rest by placing the ball in the bottom right corner.
