PSNI held onto their place in the Bluefin Sport Championship despite losing the second leg of the promotion/relegation play-off to Annagh United at Newforge.

Sammy McFadden's side went into the game on the strength of a 4-1 advantage from the first leg but saw that three-goal cushion reduced after half-an-hour when Jordan Campbell found the net to give Annagh the lead on the night.

And the Premier Intermediate League runners-up almost reduced the gap between the sides further on the stroke of half-time only to fail to convert from the spot.

However, three minutes before the hour, Owen Moody levelled for the PSNI to give Annagh a huge mountain to climb and despite Ruairi McDonald striking on 86 minutes it proved to be little more than a consolation goal.
