The Whites opened the scoring as early as the third minute when Alan McMurtry played the ball down the wing for Paul Young to cross for Matthew Ferguson to nod past Gerard McErlean.

Ryan Moffatt levelled for the visitors after a quarter-of-an-hour when Stephen Teggart's initial effort was parried into his path.

And Moffatt struck again just five minutes later, sending Jonah McNicholl the wrong way from the spot after William Wharry conceded the penalty - and was dismissed - for pushing.

But back came the Whites with a penalty of their own, converted by Ferguson on 23 minutes ... but he was out of luck after half-an-hour when he failed to find the net from the third spot-kick of the game.

Remarkably, a fourth penalty was awarded on 64 minutes, but Moffatt also missed the target.

However, Banbridge pressed on from this, and went onto secure victory with two quick fire goals from Jack McCreanor and Neil Clydesdale, both of them tap-ins from close range.

Moffatt then claimed the match ball with a strong finish from outside the area with seven minutes remaining.
