Ryan McCready bagged four first half goals as Queen's University swept to a comprehensive victory over Armagh City at The Dub.

McCready opened the scoring after 12 minutes with a low shot into the corner after getting on the end of a defence splitting Leon Bonnes pass.

He added a second eight minutes later, following up to knock home the loose ball after Chris Middleton's spot-kick was initially kept out by Daniel Devine.

Number three came just after the half-hour mark from a narrow angle from a Middleton cross before, with four minutes of the first half remaining, he knocked home another with an excellent finish.

After the break Connor Mulholland twice struck the woodwork and Devine made a series of fine saves. The final goal of the game came right at the end following good work on the left by Ciaran O'Hare who crossed for Philip Traynor to finish first time past Devine.
