EARLY McGONNELL GOAL ENOUGH FOR SWANS

Newington made it six games unbeaten with this narrow victory over Moyola Park at Mill Meadow.

Conor Crossan's side ended the game with three U17s on the pitch but it was Anthony McGonnell, one of the more experienced members of the panel with service at Glenavon, Cliftonville and Larne amongst others, who grabbed what proved to be the only goal of the game as early as the third minute.

This follows up a previous defeat of Moyola back on the opening game of the season.
