EAGLES EARN VITAL POINT AT KNOCKRAMER

Armagh City moved another point clear of bottom spot thanks to this scoreless draw away to Lurgan Celtic, a positive result for the Eagles having already lost twice to the Hoops earlier this season.

The visitors started brightly with Stefan McKenna dragging an effort just wide following good work by Andrew Wilson.

Ryan Corrigan then created a half chance only to send the ball the wrong side of the target from around 25 yards while Reese McInerney saw a later effort deflected over before Padraig Judge nodded wide at the back post.

McInerney came even closer after the break when his corner was punched onto the post by keeper Ciaran Fox while, for Celtic, Gerard Rooney was thwarted from 20 yards when Daniel Devine pushed his drive to safety.
