DUNS FALL AS WHITES RECORD FIRST HOME WIN

Lisburn Distillery gained their first home league win of season when they overcame Dundela at New Grosvenor Stadium.

A first half goal from Paul Young and an own goal from Thomas Healy in the second half gave the Whites all three points despite much of the attacking play coming from the away side.

The Whites took the lead in the 23rd minute when Jody Lynch put in a teasing cross from the right hand side and Young, just back from injury, made a run across his man and flicked the ball past the 'keeper from a tight angle.

Dundela had a chance to equalise when a well worked set piece allowed Matthew Ferguson to shot from the edge of the box but his shot went wide of the right post.

Distillery doubled their lead in the 66th minute when a Timmy Clarke cross from the left was put into his own net by Healy ahead of striker Lynch.

Things became nervous for the home side when Padraig McParland was shown a straight red card for bringing down Mark McCelland when through on goal on the 86th minute but the home side managed to hold on for a vital victory.
