BANBRIDGE TOO STRONG FOR SWIFTS

A goal either side of the break helped Banbridge Town defeat Sport & Leisure Swifts at Glen Road Heights.

Michael Allison opened the scoring for the visitors right at the end of the first half. Neil Clydesdale supplied an accurately delivered free-kick for Allison to sneak in from the right to direct the ball past Michael Magill.

Then, on 58 minutes, Banbridge doubled their advantage. Again, Clydesdale was involved when his header released Stephen McCavitt to send a sublime finish beyond the home keeper.
