Banbridge Town defeated Dollingstown by the odd goal in seven after an entertaining game at Planters Park.

Stephen McCavitt opened the scoring midway through the first half with a delicate chip over keeper Stephen Croft, but Dollingstown went in at the break on level terms thanks to Adam Patterson's 38th minute finish after connecting with a corner.

McCavitt restored Banbridge's advantage early in the second half at the far post from Michael Allison's cross.

Darren McGrath made it 3-1 from the spot with a quarter-of-an-hour remaining after Gary Liggett was adjudged to have fouled Stephen Acheson.

Then, two minutes after that, Ryan Moffatt extended the visiting lead direct from a wind assisted corner.

Dollingstown hit back with two goals in the final ten minutes, but it wasn't enough to salvage something from the game.

Liggett struck first on 83 minutes with a header before turning provider five minutes later for Ryan Gourley to tap home.
