ARMAGH CITY 2-0 LURGAN CELTIC

THE game opened brightly with chances for both sides.

Niall Lavery had a shot saved by home keeper Sean Morgan but the best chances fell to the home side.

Adam Nesbitt had a weak shot easily saved by Ciaran Fox in the visitors net, John Whitten fired over and Gavin Cusack fired wide when well placed just before the break.

The early stages of the second half continued to ebb and flow. On 62 minutes Niall Lavery shot wide for Celtic when well placed and two minutes later Aaron Haire should have given the visitors the lead but shot tamely at keeper Morgan.

In the 68th minute a fine through ball from Liam Cullen was laid off by Adam Nesbitt to Dale Montgomery to fire the home side ahead.

Four minutes later Mongomery added a second when he latched onto a cross shot from Adam Nesbitt.

The game ended in a series of substitutions and yellow cards resulting in almost eight minutes of added time with City's Liam Cullen being sent off after receiving a second yellow just before the final whistle.
