HW Welders won the East Belfast bragging rights with victory over neighbours Dundela at Tillysburn Park.

Scoreless at the break, neither side really looked like breaking the deadlock although the Welders did enjoy the majority of possession with perhaps Luckas Gwiazda coming closest towards the end with a header wide of the target after David Graham had crossed from the right.

There was more goalmouth action after the break at both ends with the pick being Dundela's William Bingham squandering a great opportunity at the right post only to see Ryan Brown save with his legs.

The deadlock was eventually broken with just under a quarter-of-an-hour remaining when Scott Davidson blasted home the loose ball after Jonathan Sergeant had initially saved a lob into the box under pressure from Ryan Arthurs.

Carl McComb did have the ball in the net for Dundela late in the game but his 'goal' was ruled out offside.
