Match action from Newforge

Newly promoted Dundela arrived at Newforge to face the PSNI as the only team not to have dropped a point so far this season, and departed with that record intact.

The Duns might have gone ahead as early as the fifth minute when Jordan Hughes stepped up to take a penalty but home keeper Tuda Murphy did well to make the save.

Former PSNI man Chris Watts grabbed both goals for the visitors. He opened the scoring on 28 minutes after connecting with a ball from the right to finish with a neat touch at the near post. Then, five minutes later, Daniel Burns crossed from the left for Watts to double his tally.

The PSNI rarely threatened but on 69 minutes they did pull a goal back when Dundela keeper Ryan McBride took down Owen Moody and from the resultant penalty Lukasz Adamczyk reduced the arrears.
