Ballinamallard United's unbeaten run came to an end after seven games and in truth it was a deserved win for visitors Loughgall.

It was a frantic start to the match with Peter Campbell scoring a fine lobbed effort on four minutes to put the Villagers in front, but five minutes later there was an equaliser. Joshua McIlwaine came deep to receive the ball and then turned it over the out coming Loughgall defence for Ryan Campbell to cut in from the right wing and finish one on one with the goalkeeper.

The remainder of the first half seen plenty of neat football from both sides but neither goalkeeper was particularly tested.

Richard Clarke shot off target immediately after the break whilst Peter Campbell drew a good save from John Connolly low to his left.

On 55 minutes Loughgall retook the lead when Gary Liggett's looping header from Marc McConnell's cross found the far corner of the net, out of the reach of Connolly.

Loughgall marshalled the remainder of the game well, preventing the Mallards from finding a way through to test goalkeeper Glenn Buchanan who had a trouble free afternoon.
