TEN-MAN BREDA CRUISE TO NEWFORGE POINTS

After back-to-back victories the PSNI were brought down to earth with a bump following his home defeat to Knockbreda.

In near perfect conditions the visitors dictated the play for most of the first half.

The opening goal arrived as early as the fifth minute when Richard Copeland out jumped the home defence to head in from a free-kick.

It was 2-0 on 31 minutes thanks to Ryan Newberry's successfully spot-kick awarded after Philip Simpson's boot was adjudged to have been too high.

Then, six minutes into the second half, Jordan Baker added a third with a near post finish past Jordan Williamson.

Knockbreda were reduced to ten men before the hour when Patrick Cafolla received his second caution of the game but it took the PSNI until the 75th minute to make their numerical advantage count.

Owen Moody passed ball to Lee McCune, then on to Mark Anderson. His fine pass reached Stuart Hutchinson who put through Lukasz Adamczyk and his squared ball across the face of the Breda goal was met by the unmarked substitute, Tony Tumelty, who side footed the ball into the net.

From then on it was the police who took control of the game but they were unable to find the 'Breda net again.
