Dundela leapfrogged Portadown into third spot in the Bluefin Sport Championship thanks to two Tiarnan McNicholl goals at Wilgar Park.

The Ports crafted a number of opportunities during the opening exchanges with both Ross Larkin and Paul Finnegan directing headers towards goal from Aaron Duke throw-ins.

The visitors threatened again midway through the first half when Martin Bradley cut through the defence before laying the ball off for Adam Salley but his shot was cleared off the line.

Dundela's first effort of note didn't arrive until ten minutes from the break when Carl McComb produced a point blank save from Declan Dunne.

However, the Duns went one better just before the hour with McNicholl's first of the afternoon when he got past Larkin to reach a long ball forward and direct a finish into the bottom corner beyond Dunne.

Then, with around a quarter-of-an-hour to go, McNicholl doubled his tally after some poor defending failed to deal with a throw-in presenting him with a straightforward finish.
