Bluefin Championship club Larne have announced the signing of forward David McDaid on a two and a half year deal.

The 26-year-old recently finished the League of Ireland season with Waterford United in a season which he won the First Division title and is no stranger to the NI Football League, with recent spells at Coleraine and Cliftonville. McDaid has also played for his native Derry City, Sligo Rovers (loan), Finn Harps (loan) and York City.

Larne defeated Knockbreda 3-1 at Inver Park in the Bluefin Sport Championship on Saturday to move off the bottom of the table for the first time this season.
