Ballinamallard United recorded their first league point since the opening day of the season, after coming from behind twice to draw away to Loughgall in the Bluefin Sport Championship.

Peter Campbell opened the scoring for the Villagers after just seven minutes at Lakeview Park.

Bottom of the table Ballinamallard United struck back with 32 minutes gone as 16-year-old Darragh McBrien equalised for the visitors.

Shortly after the restart Loughgall restored their lead through Nathaniel Ferris on 51 minutes, the teenager’s third league goal of the season.

The lead only lasted two minutes as Ballinamallard United equalised in fortuitous circumstances with Loughgall defender Jordan Bell turning the ball into his own net.

Both sides had to share the points as Harry McConkey’s Mallards pick up their first point since August, halting an alarming run of eight consecutive defeats in the league.
