Ballinamallard United kept their faint hopes of making the top six alive with this Boxing Day defeat of Dergview at Darragh Park.
After a slow start to the game Jason McCartney almost opened the scoring for the Mallards from Aaron Arkinson's corner only to see his shot cleared off the line on 28 minutes.
Dergview immediately broke on the counter attack and the broke the deadlock themselves through Matthew Kirk who directed the ball past John Connolly.
That was how it stayed until nine minutes into the second when Ryan Campbell fired the Mallards leveller high into the net from outside the area after McCartney's initial free-kick was partially cleared.
Then, on 73 minutes, Ross Taheny grabbed what proved to be the winner when he arrived in the box to power home Campbell's cross from the right at the back post.
