LOUGHRAN BAGS DOUBLE AS CARRICK COME BACK FROM TWO DOWN

Carrick Rangers came from two goals down to secure a point from this visit to face Portadown at Shamrock Park in the battle for second place.

The Ports, trailing Carrick by four points in third spot, moved in front after 28 minutes through Martin Bradley's back post finish after Aaron Duke flicked on Paul Finnegan's long throw in.

And Matt Tipton's side doubled their advantage five minutes into the second half after Adam Salley tapped home when Bradley turned provider with a low cross to the far post.

However Caolan Loughran reduced the deficit on with 12 minutes remaining when he got his head to a Stewart Nixon cross to direct the ball past Declan Dunne.

Then, in stoppage time, the NIFWA Championship Player of the Month struck again to snatch a point for the visitors with a second header, this time from Reece Neale's corner from the right.
