Limavady United came from behind to earn a point against ten-man Dundela at Wilgar Park in the Bluefin Sport Championship.

The home side were forced to play the majority of the game with ten men after Owain Beggs’ straight red card after 27 minutes following an altercation with Oran McConnell.

This numerical disadvantage did not deter the East Belfast side as the took a deserved lead ten minutes later when Daniel Burns latched onto a long ball and volleyed home past Wells in the Limavady goal.

Dundela took their lead into the break and came out with second goal on 53 minutes when the league’s leading scorer Jordan Hughes bagged his 17th league goal from 20-yards when he let fly into the top corner.

Trailing by two goals, Roesiders boss Sean Friars made a double substitution and threw men forward in search of a goal. It paid dividends on 73 minutes when Emmet Friars was on hand to take advantage of a loose ball admidst a goalmouth scramble.

With eight minutes remaining, Limavady United got their equaliser as Robbie Hume was on hand to beat the offside trap and tap in a rebound after Ryan Doherty’s initial effort had been saved by Jordan Williamson.
