Larne struck three goals without reply against Lisburn Distillery to comfortably win their BetMcLean League Cup second round tie.

The Premiership newcomers had the bulk of the early play in this game, with Martin Donnelly and Jeff Hughes boss going close whilst Ben Tilney seen an effort come back off the crossbar on 19 minutes.

Larne's pressure finally told on the Whites as Thomas Stewart scored the game's first goal with three minutes of the half remaining, heading home Ben Tilney's cross.

Jeff Hughes added a second goal on the stroke of half-time for Tieran Lynch's side as he guided a low effort from 30 yards past Sean McIlhone in the Distillery goal.

With four minutes left defender Chris Ramsey secured progression in the last sixteen of the BetMcLean League Cup after unleashing an unstoppable effort from 30 yards.
