David Scullion (20)

Ross Arthurs (46)

Larne's hopes to making the top six split in the Bluefin Sport Championship suffered a blow following this draw at home to HW Welders.

The Inver Reds moved in front on 20 minutes through David Scullion when David McDaid flicked a Gerard Thompson cross into his path with the midfielder beating 'keeper Ben McCauley from outside the area.

The visitors were reduced to ten men on the half-hour mark following Dan McMurray's dismissal for a tackle on Martin Donnelly.

Larne pushed to make their numerical advantage count with both Chris Ramsey and Conor Downey striking the woodwork before the break.

The visitors equalised just after the start of the second half when Barry Holland's interception from Jack Upritchard's cross from the left-wing came back off the post with the rebound being tapped in by Ross Arthurs.

Knowing they needed all three points Tiernan Lynch's men came close to regaining the advantage when a Donnelly free-kick from outside the box was saved at the bottom left corner before a Scullion cross was turned into the side netting by Matthew Henry.
